Activity Management and Digital Engagement Platform
The Ahanks Global Activity Management Platform is a web-based solution designed to simplify how the organization publishes, manages, and showcases its activities online. Built with ASP.NET Core MVC, C#, Entity Framework Core, and Microsoft SQL Server, the platform provides an administrative dashboard for managing activities, uploading multiple images, editing content, and organizing activities by category. The platform features a responsive interface, activity detail pages, image galleries, category-based filtering, and real-time dashboard notifications using SignalR. Image compression helps reduce upload sizes, while server-side validation improves data integrity and content reliability. The solution combines an easy-to-use content management experience with a professional public-facing website, helping Ahanks Global maintain an organized and engaging digital presence.
Challenge
Ahanks Global needed a more effective way to present its activities and maintain its online content. Managing activity descriptions, photographs, categories, and updates could become difficult without a centralized system. Key challenges included: Organizing activities into clear categories for easier navigation. Managing multiple images for each activity. Updating and removing published content efficiently. Maintaining consistent image presentation across activity listings and detail pages. Providing administrators with visibility into activities and incoming messages. Ensuring a responsive experience across desktop and mobile devices.
Solution
We developed a centralized activity management platform using ASP.NET Core MVC and a relational database architecture. The solution includes: 1. Administrative Dashboard A centralized dashboard displaying activity statistics, message counts, recent messages, and activity trends to support day-to-day content management. 2. Activity Content Management Administrators can create, edit, and delete activities, manage descriptions and categories, and maintain published content through a user-friendly interface. 3. Multiple Image Uploads The platform supports uploading multiple images for an activity, previewing selected images, compressing images before upload, and managing associated image records. 4. Dynamic Activity Gallery Activities are displayed in organized cards with images, category labels, publication dates, descriptions, and links to detailed pages. Multiple images can also be displayed in a slider on the activity detail page. 5. Real-Time Notifications SignalR enables real-time notifications for dashboard updates and new messages, helping administrators stay informed of relevant changes. 6. Data Validation and Reliable Storage Server-side validation and Entity Framework Core help maintain data integrity, while Microsoft SQL Server stores activity information and associated image records. 7. Responsive User Interface The interface uses Bootstrap and custom styling to provide a consistent experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
